Streaming CDN - Content Delivery Networks

Wavesteaming utilizes some of the best web networks available, all with multiple high-speed fibre optic connections to major internet backbones, which allow for fast global connectivity.

Our servers are kept secure and up-to-date. Firewalls are also used, which help maintain our customers security. Sophisticated monitoring systems also check on our servers for problems and will automatically try to heal any problems which should arise, should this fail - we will be alerted immediately.

We currently offer 2 'teirs' of service, these are both very well suited to internet radio delivery and media streaming.

Standard (Premium) Streaming Network

Our standard network of servers are strategically placed throughout world-class datacentres in the US and UK. We select only the best bandwidth providers and have landed on a 'tried & tested' handful of locations over the years, which we know will offer the best solutions suited to our customers' needs.

The standard network is best suited to radio stations wanting a professional solution with high uptime, excellent connection times from anywhere in the world and no buffering. All bandwidth sold on our standard network is dedicated and the bandwidth guaranteed to be available for our customers 24/7.

All of our services by default, including SHOUTcast, Windows Media, Auto DJ, Podcasting and Web Hosting services are always located on our standard network locations unless otherwise specified.

Xpress (Budget/Value) Streaming Network

Our Xpress network is new for 2009, to fill a gap in our previous SHOUTcast offerings and we have server locations in both the USA and Europe. It is ideal for you if you're looking to host large capacity of listeners on a smaller budget and cannot afford large capacity costs on our premium network.

The Xpress network will allow you to hold massive amounts of listeners for a much lower cost, the main difference being the redundancy/selection of bandwidth providers, latency and overall uptime may not be as great as on our Standard network. We also do not guarantee that the bandwidth is dedicated as it may be shared with other users or servers.

Which Streaming Network Should I Choose?

In most cases, we recommend our Standard Premium Streaming services for professional radio stations. Our Xpress network is in place to suit the lower end of the market, if your radio station is important and you are looking for excellent reliability and quality that we have become to be renound for - you should go with the Standard network.

Xpress network will allow you to expand on your existing listener base at a low cost. If you're looking to grow and perhaps already have a server on our premium network, then why not setup an Xpress server - which can then act as a fall back for your primary/premium server?
