Mac & Shoutcast

If you're using a Apple computer (eg iMac, Power Mac etc) with OSX - you will find that you won't be able to use Winamp and SHOUTcast DSP as these are both designed for Windows computers,

Do not worry, this doesn't mean you can't stream to SHOUTcast from your Apple Mac! There are solutions at hand to get you broadcasting in no time!

We recommend the following tools, they are both MacOS Friendly!

http://butt.sourceforge.net/ (Basic tool, Free!)

http://rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/ (Full radio package with SC support, Paid with free trial available)

Both of these softwares are great for broadcasters new to Mac and streaming or even streaming radio online generally, hope you enjoy this little video we have put together for you, pause, rewind and take in the information as much as you want, its from us to you to make life easier!
